What Type of Website Makes Money

Before creating a  website for your  work at home business you should think about how you plan to make money off of it. There are a number of ways to make money on-line. Here are some money making ideas.

  • Sell affiliate products. There are several sites such as http://www.paydotcom.com/ and http://www.clickbank.com/ that are popular for selling products from software to e-books. All they ask is that you promote their products and in return you will receive commission. My Data Team-Global Data Entry shows how to sign up and trains members how to promote these products.
  • Advertise Google Adsense. You can make money through this by placing Google ads on your website. Once someone clicks on one of these ads you get paid.
  • Sell products on Ebay.
  • Create a product and sell it. This selling method is for those who are expert at making things and would like to make money off of their expertise.
  • Provide an on-line service. For example, on-line tutors are becoming more and more common. There are companies that provide resume and article writing websites.

There are so many more that are not listed. The most important thing is that you find what you will be interested in selling and if you are persistent and work hard to promote it you will be able to make a profit from it.

How to Make Your Work at Home Business Legal

One of the concerns of many who start a work at home business is how to legalize it. This should be one of your first concerns at the start up of your business. Here are the steps that you need to take to make it legal:

  1. You have to have your Tax Id number if you are working by yourself or Employer Identification Number( EIN) if you have employees.

  2. Get a business license. You may have to register your business with city hall or pay them to receive one.

  3. Find out what your local tax laws are.

  4. Determine whether your business will be a Sole propietorship, a General Partnership, a Corporation, or a Nonprofit Corporation.

  5. Depending on the type of business you have, you may need to find out what the zoning laws are in your town. For example, It may be illegal to sell a certain product or service in certain areas.

  6. What are your state tax laws? Do you have a permit, or license for your type of business and is it up to date.

  7. Another thing that must be registered is your business name.

  8. If you are selling products a small portion of your sales must be paid to the state as a tax requirement. Therefore, it is important that you get a resale tax certificate to avoid being taxed more than once.

  9. Know what tax forms are necessary for the self employed. Find out what types of fees you will owe for taxes.

The great thing about these websites is that they are solely for people who are interested in at home jobs. They provide listings of jobs such as accounting, transcribing, survey jobs, telephone jobs, etc. These are well trusted sites, therefore you will not have to worry about scams. As a matter of fact one of these sites have been recommended and trusted by Business Week Magazine, The Boston Globe, AOL, and Star Tribune. Take a look at these sites below.

The Advantages of Working from Home

According to "Times of the Internet" working from home continues to become more and more common especially with the increase in unemployment. Is a work at home career right for you? What are the advantages of working at home?

I remember when I was about 16, there was a friend of mine who was training to become a medical transcriptionist with the goal of working from home. That was the first time I ever heard of this. That was 12 years ago. Since then I have always wanted a work at home job but heard too many negative things about it. For years I put it in the back of my mind. I went to college after highschool but felt deep down that this was not my calling. Once I had my first child I realized that a work at home career was right for me.

There are many advantages of working from home:

  1. Hours are more flexible. You have no deadlines, depending on the type of job.

  2. You get to spend more time with your family. This was the most important reason for me.

  3. You save more money and time. You save money on gas and you drastically minimize your commute time.

  4. You are your own boss. There is no one to tell you what to do and how to do it.

These are just a few of the many pluses of a work at home career. If you think that this is something that you would be interested in, here is an opportunity that you should check out.

Work at Home - Update

This is an update of my work at home journey. I decided to skip the posting of ads on classified sites because it does not seem to be bringing in any income. Also, to be honest, I got a little inpatient.

So I decided to start email marketing and two days later I started making profits.
Ultimately, my goal is to find out which form of marketing is more effective and so far it seems to be email marketing.

My next step in the Global Data Entry training program is article marketing. This program list a number of tips on writing articles as well as the best sites to post essays to. I will continue to give you an update on the results.
